Mondo Soda

As one of the first projects in my Brand Design course, I was tasked with creating a beverage brand revolved around the name “MONDO”. Of course, with this being the only set rule, the world was truly my oyster. I decided to create a carbonated beverage that tasted good without the guilt that had a bubble packaging to match. From here, Mondo Soda was born.

Let The Ideas Pop

From the beginning of this project, I knew I wanted to create a soda brand that was fun and eclectic. Upon brainstorming, I tried to give my brand a personality that would somehow be reflected in the final designs. Because it is a carbonated beverage, why not have it feel bubbly and bright?

The First Taste Test

I had decided to go with three flavors for the initial designs of this soda. In order to be different from competitors I wanted to tackle some flavor combinations that I do not see too often on the shelves. with that being said the three flavors were Blueberry Pomegranate, Mango Chili Lime, and Clementine Hibiscus.

The first rendition, which you see here, was tested with the blueberry flavor but I soon realized it was not as fun or bubbly as I had imagined. This meant I had to try and elevate the design to further my original intentions with the design.

Soda-licious Designs

With a few minor adjustments I was able to make the designs pop in a way I had originally envisioned. I then took these designs and mocked up digital shots of them using Blender and Adobe Dimension. Working on this project allowed me to discover more of the possibilities with both branding and 3D rendering that I can hopefully use to benefit my future projects.
