Videography + Motion Graphics

Most of my videography comes from my visual art class taken during my final year at American University. This course pushed me to see how I could possibly mix certain audios as well as visuals to achieve a certain goal. At the same time, I was being taught how to push brands in motion with Motion Graphics.

Motion Graphics

Below are some Motion Graphics I have created in my time at American University and after. From moving brands in motion or showcasing transitions between flags, all were done in Adobe After Effects on my own.

For this project I was tasked with creating an opener for a TEDx presentation. To learn more about the process and context, visit TEDx Centennial College of Toronto: On The Verge.

Mint is a fictional tea shop I designed both a logo and menu for. When considering how I could push the brand further with a motion graphic, I wanted to emphasize the primary focus of the shop: tea.

In many cases, flags are more than just an expression of regional pride, they are art. In this motion graphic, I am attempting to push these flags in motion by designing transitions and animations that bring them to life.

Internak.io is a mock company that I created a motion graphic for as part of an application for motion graphic intern at Directive Consulting. This project was made using After Effects in the span of one week.

As part of a project for my motion graphics and digital imaging courses, I was tasked with pushing a brand in motion. For more information, visit DaDa Cosmetics.

Love Has No Labels is a movement promoting diversity and acceptance of all people. As part of my final project, I chose to create a explainer to showcase what the movement tried to achieve. Find out more about LHNL here.

Videography

Demon B Gone

My goal was to create a fictional product and advertise it like it was truly within the obtainable market. I wanted to play with comedy in this video and make it as cheesy as possible to balance out the somewhat heavy nature of the product itself. This was an individual project where editing was done primarily on Adobe Premiere Pro.

Coffee Cup PSA

This project was done as a collaboration between two classes: Videography and AU’s Zero Waste course. I was paired with another individual in my videography class and two students from the Zero Waste course. They presented me with a screenplay for a PSA on the effects of coffee cups and waste in which I was in charge of recording the footage and audio. I was able to test my abilities by using a GoPro360 Camera in order to fulfill my group members’ vision for POV scenes of people drinking coffee.

Inevitable

Using nothing but found footage and audio, I was tasked with taking one lecture and making about something entirely different. In this case, I took a lecture on physics and turned it into a commentary on the mistreatment of our home: Earth.
